Overview

What the PMP® exam expects of you

The Project Management Professional (PMP)® is PMI's flagship credential for people who lead projects. Per PMI, the 2026 PMP Exam Content Outline organizes the exam into three domains: People (33%), Process (41%) and Business Environment (26%). Questions are written as workplace situations, and per PMI roughly 60% of them reflect agile or hybrid ways of working and roughly 40% predictive approaches. The exam expects you to choose the best action for a given situation, not to recite definitions.

P.U.L.L. delivers its PMP program as a PMI Authorized Training Partner (Premier), which means the course content is PMI-developed and taught by instructors who have completed PMI's training requirements. Classes are live and instructor-led, so you can ask questions in the moment, work through scenarios with the group, and hear how experienced practitioners reason through the exam's judgement-based items. Course material is aligned to the current PMBOK® Guide and the standards PMI references in the outline.

Every learner receives a personalized study roadmap at the start, daily follow-up to keep momentum between classes, coaching calls to work through weak areas, and access to an exam simulator that mirrors the real test's length, question styles and domain weighting. Application support is included: we help you structure your project experience descriptions and understand how PMI reviews them, so the paperwork does not become the obstacle.

The curriculum is built on PMI's 2026 Exam Content Outline and the PMBOK® Guide 8th edition. It covers the topics PMI added for 2026, including artificial intelligence as a factor in project decisions, sustainability in quality, compliance and risk work, and the new scenario-based and interactive question formats, so nothing on exam day is a surprise.

Exam and certification

PMP® questions, answered

How many questions are on the PMP exam and how long is it?

Per PMI, the PMP® exam has 180 questions and allows 240 minutes, with two scheduled 10-minute breaks. The clock stops during the breaks, but you cannot return to earlier sections once a break starts.

Does the PMP exam cover agile, or only traditional project management?

It covers both: per PMI, roughly 60% of the exam reflects agile or hybrid approaches and roughly 40% predictive approaches. Our live sessions teach you to recognize which mindset a question is asking for before you pick an answer.

Do I need 35 contact hours before I can apply?

Yes, per PMI you need 35 hours of project management education or training unless you hold an active CAPM® certification. Per PMI, from 1 December 2026 a live instructor-led class counts toward those hours only when it is delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner, a China Registered Education Provider or an accredited higher-education program. The P.U.L.L. PMP® program is delivered under our PMI Authorized Training Partner license and satisfies this requirement. How we deliver them: a PMP cohort runs over two consecutive weekends, six live instructor-led days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, twice) of six scheduled hours each, 10 am to 4 pm US Eastern. That is 36 scheduled hours of live instruction, and your 35-contact-hour certificate is issued when you complete the cohort.

Can I take the PMP exam from home?

Yes, per PMI you can take the exam online with a live proctor or at a Pearson VUE testing center. We walk you through the system check, room rules and scheduling steps so there are no surprises on exam day.

What happens if PMI audits my application?

PMI selects some applications for audit and asks you to provide signed verification of your experience and copies of your education records. Because we help you document experience accurately from the start, an audit becomes a paperwork step rather than a setback.

How long is the PMP certification valid?

Per PMI, the PMP® is valid for three years, and you maintain it by earning 60 professional development units in each cycle. We show you how to plan PDUs so renewal is routine.

What learners say

“We need someone to mentor us. The mentor called me every day, even when I felt tired, gave me a schedule for each day and asked me to report back. On my own I would have procrastinated. I think it is the best way.”

Nithya, Singapore · PMP

“No matter what, if I had a problem with a question I flagged it, moved on and came back in the review. The simulators really helped. You really need to understand how things work; the concepts are the most important thing.”

Justice, Ghana · PMP

“I was a working mother from an architecture background and project management was a completely new field for me. The last stretch of preparation, continuously practising and revising the terms, was truly progressive and productive.”

Fatima, Bahrain · PMP (translated from Urdu)
