Choosing a certification
Which certification should I start with if I am new to project management?
CAPM® is the usual starting point if you have little or no project experience, while PMP® is the better fit once you have led projects. CAPM covers the vocabulary and core practices across predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, and it does not require project leadership experience. If you already meet the PMP experience requirement, going straight to PMP is normally the stronger choice.
What is the difference between PMP and CAPM?
PMP® is for people who lead projects, and CAPM® is for people who are entering the field or working on project teams. Per PMI, PMP requires documented months of project leadership experience, while CAPM requires only a secondary degree and project management education. The PMP exam is also longer and more situational, testing judgment rather than recall.
Should I choose PMP® or PMI-ACP® if I work in an agile environment?
If you lead projects of any kind, PMP® is usually the broader credential; if your role is purely agile delivery, PMI-ACP® is the more focused one. The current PMP exam already includes a large share of agile and hybrid content, so it is not a purely predictive certification. Many agile practitioners earn PMP first and add PMI-ACP later to deepen their agile credibility.
When does PgMP® make sense instead of another PMP-level credential?
PgMP® makes sense when you manage several related projects together to achieve strategic benefits, not just one project at a time. Per PMI, it requires substantial program management experience in addition to project management experience. If your job is still focused on individual projects, PMP® is the right step and PgMP can follow.
Who is PMI-RMP® designed for?
PMI-RMP® is designed for professionals who specialize in identifying, analyzing and responding to project risk, often on large or complex projects. It suits risk managers, PMO analysts and project managers who want a recognized specialty beyond PMP®. If risk is only a small part of your role, PMP alone may serve you better.
What does PfMP® cover and who should consider it?
PfMP® is for senior professionals who select, prioritize and govern a portfolio of programs and projects to deliver organizational strategy. It is the most senior PMI credential in the portfolio, program and project family. Consider it when your work is about deciding which initiatives to invest in rather than delivering them.
Can I hold more than one PMI certification at the same time?
Yes, many professionals hold several PMI certifications, such as PMP® together with PMI-ACP® or PMI-RMP®. Each credential has its own eligibility, exam and renewal cycle. Per PMI, some professional development units can count toward more than one credential, so maintaining two is often less work than it sounds.
How do I decide which P.U.L.L. program is right for me?
Start by matching your experience and career goal to the eligibility and focus of each certification, then write to pull@pullacademy.com if you are still unsure. Our team will look at your background and suggest a sensible path. The Which Certification tool on this site is also a quick way to narrow the choice.
Eligibility and application
What are the eligibility requirements for the PMP exam?
Per PMI, you need 35 hours of project management education or training (or an active CAPM® certification) plus project management experience that depends on your education: 36 months with a bachelor's degree or higher, 48 months with an associate's degree or vocational diploma, 60 months with a high school diploma or secondary equivalent, or 24 months with a degree from a PMI GAC-accredited program. The experience must be non-overlapping and from within the last 10 years. Confirm the current wording on pmi.org before you apply.
Does P.U.L.L. training satisfy the 35 contact hours for the PMP application?
Yes, the PMP® program is delivered under P.U.L.L.'s PMI Authorized Training Partner license, and completing it provides the project management education hours PMI requires for the PMP application. You will receive documentation to support your application. Note that PMI education requirements for other certifications differ, so check each one separately.
How do I document my project experience on the PMI application?
You describe each project in a short summary covering the objective, your role, what you did and the outcome, along with the start and end dates and the hours or months involved. Per PMI, experience should be described in your own words and should show that you led and directed the work. P.U.L.L. offers application support to help you structure these descriptions clearly and honestly.
What happens if my PMI application is selected for audit?
Per PMI, a selected application must be supported with copies of your degree, signed confirmation of the project experience from a supervisor or colleague and proof of your education hours. The audit is a random check, not a sign that anything is wrong. Keeping your records organized while you apply makes the audit straightforward.
What are the CAPM eligibility requirements?
Per PMI, CAPM® requires a secondary degree (high school diploma, GED or global equivalent), that you are at least 18 years old, and 23 hours of project management education completed before the exam. No project experience is required. Check pmi.org for the current wording before you apply.
What experience do I need for PMI-ACP®?
Per PMI, PMI-ACP® requires a secondary diploma or higher, 21 hours of formal agile training, and one of the following: 24 months of agile experience within the past 5 years, a GAC-accredited degree plus 12 months of agile experience, 12 months of agile experience plus a current third-party agile certification (for example Scrum or SAFe) that was earned more than one year ago, or an active PMP® certification. Review the exact wording on pmi.org, as PMI updates it from time to time.
Do I need to be a PMI member to apply for an exam?
No, PMI membership is optional and you can apply for any PMI certification without it. Many candidates still join because, per PMI, members receive a reduced exam fee and digital access to PMI standards. Membership is paid directly to PMI and is separate from any P.U.L.L. program.
Can P.U.L.L. help me with my PMI application?
Yes, application support is part of our programs, and it covers creating your pmi.org account, structuring your experience descriptions and preparing for a possible audit. We guide you, but you submit the application yourself and remain responsible for its accuracy. Write to pull@pullacademy.com if you have questions before you enroll.
Training with P.U.L.L.
How are P.U.L.L. programs delivered?
All programs are delivered as live online, instructor-led cohorts, so you learn with a group in real time from anywhere in the world. Sessions are interactive and recordings are provided afterward for review. Because the training is online, learners in different time zones can join without travelling to Lahore.
What does the personalized study roadmap include?
Your roadmap is a tailored plan that lays out what to study, in what order and at what pace based on your background, schedule and target exam date. It is built at the start of the program and adjusted as you progress. Daily follow-up keeps you accountable to it.
What kind of support do I get between live sessions?
You receive daily follow-up on your progress plus scheduled coaching calls where you can work through difficult topics one-on-one or in small groups. Questions can also be sent at any time to pull@pullacademy.com. The aim is that no learner is left stuck for long.
Is there an exam simulator?
Yes, every program includes access to an exam simulator with timed, exam-style situational questions and explanations for each answer. Practicing under realistic conditions helps you build the pacing and judgment the real exam demands. Your simulator results also feed into adjustments to your study roadmap.
What if I miss a live session?
You can watch the recording, which is provided for every live session, and bring any questions to your next coaching call. Recordings stay available for review during the program so you can revisit difficult topics as often as needed. Missing an occasional session will not put you behind.
Is the PMP program PMI-authorized?
Yes, the PMP® program is delivered under P.U.L.L.'s PMI Authorized Training Partner (Premier) license, which means it uses PMI-developed course content and follows PMI's quality requirements. This applies to the PMP program specifically. Our other certification programs are offered by P.U.L.L. and are not part of the Authorized Training Partner program.
Do you offer corporate or group training?
Yes, P.U.L.L. runs dedicated corporate and group cohorts for organizations that want to train several team members together. Schedules and the mix of topics can be adapted to the group's needs and time zone. Write to pull@pullacademy.com to discuss a group enrollment.
What materials and resources are included?
Each program includes live instruction, session recordings, a personalized study roadmap, practice questions in the exam simulator and application support. The PMP® program uses PMI-developed content as part of P.U.L.L.'s Authorized Training Partner license. Learners are also encouraged to use the free knowledge-hub resources on this site.
Exams and renewal
How long is the PMP exam and how many questions does it have?
Per PMI, the PMP® exam has 180 questions and allows 240 minutes, with two scheduled 10-minute breaks. Questions are a mix of multiple-choice, multiple-response, matching, hotspot and fill-in-the-blank. Confirm the current format on pmi.org before your exam date.
What domains does the PMP exam cover?
Per PMI, the PMP® exam is organized around three domains: People, Process and Business Environment. The content spans predictive, agile and hybrid approaches, so you are tested on choosing and applying the right approach rather than one method only. The current exam content outline on pmi.org lists the tasks under each domain.
Can I take a PMI exam online from home?
Yes, per PMI, most PMI exams can be taken either at an approved test center or online with a remote proctor. Online delivery requires a quiet room, a reliable connection and a webcam, and you must follow the proctor's rules throughout. Choose the option that gives you the calmest environment.
How do I schedule my exam after PMI approves my application?
Once PMI approves your application (or, if you are selected for audit, once the audit is completed successfully), your one-year eligibility period begins. Within that year you pay PMI's exam fee and schedule the exam through the testing provider linked from your pmi.org account, and you may attempt it up to three times. P.U.L.L. can advise on timing so your exam date lines up with your study roadmap.
How long is the PMP certification valid and how do I renew it?
Per PMI, PMP® certification is valid for three years, and you renew it by earning 60 professional development units (PDUs) within each three-year cycle and paying a renewal fee to PMI. PDUs come from education and from giving back to the profession. Renewal requirements for other PMI certifications differ, so check pmi.org for each one.
What happens if I do not pass the exam?
You can retake the exam, and per PMI you may attempt it up to three times within your one-year eligibility period, paying a re-examination fee to PMI for each attempt. If you are a P.U.L.L. learner, we will review your results with you and adjust your study roadmap before your next attempt. Many candidates pass on a later attempt once they understand their weak areas.
Is the exam available in languages other than English?
Yes. Per PMI, the PMP® exam is currently offered in English and a number of other languages (including Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish and Turkish), and each other PMI exam has its own list. The list changes, so check the certification page on pmi.org when you schedule. P.U.L.L. programs are taught in English.
How do PDUs work for keeping a PMI certification active?
Per PMI, PDUs are one-hour blocks of learning or professional contribution that you report in your pmi.org account during each renewal cycle. They are divided between education (such as courses, webinars and reading) and giving back (such as volunteering or working as a practitioner). Each certification has its own PDU total, listed on pmi.org.
Payments and policies
What payment options are available?
PMP® can be paid in full or in two or three monthly payments, chosen at checkout; the installment plans total $1,200 and end automatically. PgMP®, PMI-RMP®, PMI-ACP®, CAPM® and PfMP® are paid in full through the same secure online checkout. All prices are in US dollars. The payment choice does not change what is included in the program. Write to pull@pullacademy.com if you need a different arrangement.
Are PMI exam fees included in the program fee?
No, PMI exam fees and PMI membership are paid separately and directly to PMI through your pmi.org account. The P.U.L.L. program fee covers the training, support and resources described on the program page. Per PMI, exam fees differ for members and non-members, so check pmi.org for current amounts.
Is the online checkout secure?
Yes, payments are processed through a secure online checkout and P.U.L.L. does not store your full card details. You will receive a confirmation by email once the payment is complete. If anything looks wrong with a payment, contact pull@pullacademy.com right away.
What is the refund policy, and is there a guarantee?
Program fees are generally not refundable once you enroll, with two exceptions: if P.U.L.L. cancels your cohort before it begins you choose a full refund or a transfer, and if we materially change the schedule after enrollment and it no longer works for you, you may transfer or request a refund for the undelivered portion. Before the first session you can transfer once, free, to a later cohort of the same program. Our conditional pass guarantee: if you follow the roadmap your coach gives you, complete the work, sit the exam and do not pass, P.U.L.L. covers one PMI re-examination fee and keeps coaching you until you pass. It is not a guarantee of a result and not a tuition refund. The full terms are on the enrollment and cancellations page.
Can I switch to a different program after I enroll?
Possibly, depending on timing and availability, and any change is confirmed in writing. Write to pull@pullacademy.com with your current program and the one you would like to move to. We will explain what is involved before anything is changed.
Will I receive a certificate of completion?
Yes, you receive documentation confirming the training you completed, which you can use to support your PMI application. For the PMP® program this documentation reflects the education hours delivered under P.U.L.L.'s PMI Authorized Training Partner license. Completion documentation is separate from the PMI certification itself, which PMI awards after you pass the exam.
How is my personal information handled?
Your information is used only to deliver your program, support your learning and communicate with you, and it is not sold to third parties. Full details are in the privacy policy on this site. Questions about your data can be sent to pull@pullacademy.com.
How do I contact P.U.L.L.?
